Hey friends :D,

after the topic ‘cosplay’ was introduced in the first post, the girls from the community “goSupermodel” could ask me questions. The admin picked some of them and an interview was published :D.

So here are the answers on the questions, that the Danish girls asked me…

If you still have questions, my girls, than you can write them in the comment section of this post ;D. I’ll try to answer them all.

Thanks a lot for the nice time, I really had fun <3~

Hello everybody =3,

Sørine (WCS team Denmark 2011) gave me the wonderful opportunity to show my cosplay pictures to young girls from an online community goSupermodel she’s working for. You can see it when you click on the screenshot below.
Now the girls may me ask questions. I’ll get their questions on friday and I’m really looking forward what they’ll want to know ♥.
Thanks again, for this opportunity, Sørine ^____^!

So the questions + answers will come after this weekend!

Also I made some more FAQ ! please check out :D~

Question 4: Who takes and edits your photos?

Well here come the story XD: When I was a beginner in cosplay, it was totally normal to take photos only with small compact digicams. We just took them randomly on conventions together with friends. It was something “super special” when a GREAT photographer (definition back than of “great photographer” was a person with an DSLR cam XD!) came and asked to take a photos of us lol. Sometimes we just hoped that some good photographers will appear on cons to take us great photos.

But soon we got bored of waiting and wanted to become better in taking our own pictures. Well that´s why I collected money and bought my own DSLR. I asked other photographers for advices how to use it, read tutorials about photography and studied other photographers photos to get better ideas.  I tried hard to improve my own photo skills, so my friends did not have to wait on cons till a “great photographer” appears to take them some decent shots. I showed my friends how to use my camera and we learned together to use it better.

As well as my skills in photography, I also tried hard to become better in editing. Also asked other people for advices, read tutorials etc etc.

long story for short: 90% of all my photos are taking by my friends with my camera equipment and edited by myself!

It´s really rare that I shoot with other photographers. I have a few good photographer friends that i really love to work with, but unfortunately they all live to far away to asked them “hey, I have this new costume, wanna come over this weekend to shoot?” XD. So the combination of buying my own equipment + friends help + editing photos myself works pretty well for me for most of the time =3.

Hello friends,

I had a strange idea about a photobook…click the following image to enlarge it and read the story ;D

tell me your opinion about that on CALSSARA COSPLAY FACEBOOK CLUB

Hello Friends,

(It´s Dragon year again <3)

2nd topic: there is a new Cosplay Community called “WORLDCOSPLAY” and I joined as well. I´m pretty sure that this page can become really nice for cosplayers all around the world ^-^. here is my profile ( feel free to add me!):…

my next convention will be Leipzig Bookfair in March 16.-18.
I´ll wear my Esther Blanchett again (together with Aigue-Marine as Ion) and another costume, that I´ll tell you later ;D

Hello friends,

here are the good news I announced this morning on facebook!
The convention Cosplay ComCom in Tijuana (Mexico) will make a collaboration with me. Coz I cannot attend the convention 2012 personally, I’ll be a virtual special guest for this year ;D.

I´ll give a panel via webcam.I’ll talk about my work as a costume maker and you ask me everything you always wanted to know.

Also there will be a feature in the convention magazine with photos and an interview.

For the cosplay competition there will be a special section “Calssara’s favorite” and the winner will get a special price that is handmade by me <3~.

Beside that the convention will use my photos for banners and other advertisement.

I´m really glad to have this great opportunity. When everything works fine, than you can maybe meet me there in 2013 in person ;D.

Question 3: Which patterns did you use? Can you help me with mine? Can you send me your old patterns?

When I sew, I do not use “professional patterns”. I learned just by doing and trying out when I was 15. I had no idea about patterns and stuff and I started to develop my own kind of patterns. Now I´m totally used to my own kind of patterns, I made a “basic body”-pattern from my own body and modify it every time. For every new kind of shape that appears I think about how the construction could look drawn flatly on a paper.

So sorry that I cannot send you my patterns/tell you what exactly I used!!!

If you need professional patterns to use for your own costumes, please look on sewing forums or ask in a sewing stuff store if they can help you.

Sometimes you can also find tutorials about cosplay related patterns on deviantart or on youtube.

in relation to that…

Question 3.1: How did  you make the costume? lol

I don´t know WHY people ask exactly this all the time and WHAT they do expect me to tell. If you wanna have a complete sewing instruction how I made the complete cosplay, than I´m sorry to say you that I don´t have enough time to make complete construction guides to all my costumes. If you have really no idea about sewing at all and you cannot imagine how all that works, please visit a sewing school :).

Sure you can always ask me how I did a special detail on the costume, or what kind of material I used for this or that part. that´s not a  problem at all. I like to help. I just have NO time to make complete construction guides for anyone.

Question 2: Where do you usually buy your colored contact lenses?

I just have 2 stores for colored contact lenses. the first one is ___HONEYCOLOR___!
They have a big variety  of colored contact lenses in all colors and shapes. I have brown eyes and it´s sometimes really hard to cover my natural eye color. So I always need very STRONG colors.I usually buy the “Neo Sunflower” series (f.e. my blue contact lenses for Luka Megurine are from that series) or the “Dolly Eye” series (f.e. my Sakana lenses are from that series). But beware: the colors are really STRONG and your eyes will look Anime/Manga-character like and not natural. If you character is from a series that has a “real”-touch maybe you should try it with the “Geo Magic”-series). OR to show you the second store…

my second store I usually use is ___FUNNYLENS___!
It´s a German shop and I like it coz they are really friendly =3. For dark eyes like mine you should take  the “Big Eyes”-series. They have a  natural look. So if you have characters with softer eye colors, maybe you should take lenses like these.

Both stores have good and fair prices and ship very fast =3.

another advice!
if you have troubles with contact lenses in general and your eyes feel dry and hurt while wearing them, than maybe you could try “refreshing drops”. You use them like normal eye drops and they refresh your eyes and make the contact lenses a little more wet so it´s more comfortable to wear them.
